A Legacy of Hope for MPS Families
Our daughter, Jenna, passed away on January 2, 2017, after a lifelong battle with a rare genetic disorder called Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS). Despite undergoing a bone marrow transplant at just 13 months old, enduring multiple surgeries, and countless doctor visits, Jenna blessed our lives for 19 beautiful years.
We were fortunate to live near specialists who could care for her — but many families are not as lucky. Some must travel hundreds of miles to see the few doctors in the country familiar with MPS, and many cannot afford the specialized equipment needed to make their child’s life as comfortable as possible.
The Jenna Marie Richbourg Endowment Fund was created to help. It provides financial support to MPS families who need assistance with travel expenses for medical care, the purchase of essential medical equipment, or the opportunity to create a once-in-a-lifetime extraordinary memory together.
We are deeply grateful to Chip and Joanna Gaines and the Magnolia Foundation for their generous gift, which made Jenna’s endowment a reality.
