As a proud graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, my roots run deep in Texas — and so does my passion for building spaces people love.

In 2001, my wife, Sherri Richbourg, and I purchased Discount Carpet in Bryan, Texas, and renamed it Discount Floors Superstore to reflect the growing range of products and services we were bringing to our community. We poured our hearts into transforming the original 1977 downtown location into a beautiful, modern showroom and design center — a space that still stands as a source of pride today.

As Central Texas and the Brazos Valley grew, so did we. In 2003, we expanded to Waco, then to Temple in 2009. That same year, we acquired a granite countertop company in Waco, broadening the possibilities for our clients. By 2012, our Waco store moved to Franklin Avenue, where we completely renovated a 30,000-square-foot space to become our flagship showroom — a place where flooring, countertops, area rugs, window treatments, kitchen and bath fixtures, and more could all be found under one roof.

In 2021, we expanded west, adding four new locations and embracing a new name to reflect our broader vision: DesignCo. This shorter name represents something bigger — not just our growing list of locations and products, but the idea that design should be inspiring, accessible, and expertly guided from start to finish.
